ADVERTISEMENT FOR BID NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nicholas County Health Department will accept sealed bids for the renovation of the first and second floor of their office spaces, located at 1 Stevens Rd. Suite 201, Summersville, WV 26651. The scope of work includes replacement of the HVAC systems, lighting, acoustic ceiling tiles and grids, floor finishes, base, wall painting, and minor door and wall revisions. Sealed bids will be received by the Nicholas County Health Department, 1 Stevens Rd., Suite 201, Summersville, WV 26651, until 1pm on May 22nd, 2024. Bids received after that time will not be accepted. Sealed bids will be opened and read aloud at the Nicholas County Health Department meeting at 1pm on May 22nd, 2024. Interested parties are invited to attend. Perspective bidders may receive copies of the contract documents by contacting the Nicholas County Health Department at 1 Stevens Rd. Summersville, WV 26651; phone: (304) 872-5329. A copy of the documents will be available at that office for inspection. A MANDATORY pre-bid conference will be held on Wednesday, May 15th, 2024, at 1pm at the Nicholas County Health Department, 1 Stevens Rd., Suite 201, Summersville, WV 26651. The Nicholas County Health Department requires a 100% payment and performance bond to be eligible to bid for this project. Bids must be made on a lump sum basis. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after the time of the bid opening without the consent of the owner. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive any irregularity therein. Contractors will be selected based upon (1) cost, (2) experience with similar projects and (3) proven ability to complete a project. The selected bidder will be determined by cost and time involved.
