LEGAL NOTICE Sealed proposals will be received by the Rome Township Trustees, until 2:00 P.M. Eastern Time on October 14, 2024 and will be opened and read immediately thereafter at the office of the Rome Township Trustees, 9644 County Road 107, Proctorville, Ohio 45669 for the: Construction of Salt Storage Shed Township Opinion of Probable Cost: $110,000 Completion Date – 60 days from Notice to Proceed This project consists of constructing a salt storage building, approximately 24′ x 40′ for the purpose of storage road salt. The building will have a concrete slab, concrete side walls and wood framing above. Funding for the project is provided through a grant from the H2Ohio Chloride Reduction Program. The location of the construction is behind the Rome Township Maintenance Building, located at 9644 County Road 107, Proctorville, OH. A pre-bid conference will be held on October 8th at 9:00 am at the construction site. Proposals mailed prior to the bid opening date shall be sent to Rome Township Trustees, 506 County Road 411, Proctorville, Ohio 45669 and must be delivered prior to bid opening date and time. Proposals may be hand delivered on the date of bid opening to the office of the Rome Township Trustees, 9644 County Road 107, Proctorville, Ohio 45669. Bids must be in accordance with the bid documents. The bid package, consisting of drawings and specifications may be obtained by contacting the township representative, J.B. Finlay at 304-634-2405 or at [email protected]. Each bidder is required to furnish as part of its proposal a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in Bond form, shall be issued by a Surety Company or corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable, use Ohio Products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of their project. Additionally, contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governor’s Executive Order of 1972, and Governor’s Executive Order 84-9 shall be required. Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Lawrence County, Ohio as determined by the Ohio Bureau of Employment Services, Wage and Hour Division.
