Advertisement for Bids Sealed bids will be received by the Lawrence County Port Authority (LCPA) at their offices located at 216 Collins Ave, South Point OH until 12:00 p.m. local time on May 2nd, 2025, and will be opened and read immediately thereafter for the: Window Replacement Project – Chesapeake Community Center Bids must be in accordance with specifications, and on forms available from the LCPA, 216 Collins Ave, South Point, OH 45680 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday or by calling LCPA at 740-377-4550. A mandatory Pre-bid Meeting will be held on April 22nd, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at their offices located at 216 Collins Ave, South Point OH Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal, a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security amount shall be equal to 5% of the bid amount and, if furnished in 1Bond form, shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. A certified check, cashier’s check or money order in the same amount is acceptable bid guaranty. Total Estimated cost of construction is $383,000.00 Each Proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity. Prevailing Wage rates are required for this project. Contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governor’s Executive Order of 1972, and Governor’s Executive Order 84-9 shall be required. All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project shall also comply with President Executive Order 11246, as amended, requiring Affirmative Action for Equal Employment Opportunity. All contractors are required to have a drug-free workplace program (a BWC program or comparable program) to bid on this project. Each bidder must ensure that all employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, handicap, familial status, national origin or ancestry.
