CITY OF CHARLESTON ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS CONCRETE STREET REPAIR The City of Charleston, West Virginia will receive sealed bids for the Project until Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. in the City Manager’s Office on the first floor of City Hall. Immediately following the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids, all proposals that have been submitted in accordance with the project requirements will be publicly opened and read aloud. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in bidding, and to accept the bid considered to be in its best interest from the lowest responsible bidder. All interested parties are invited to attend the bid opening. Plans and specifications may be obtained from the City Manager’s Office. Plans and specifications may be examined at the following locations: Contractor’s Association of WV 2114 Kanawha Blvd. East Charleston, WV 25301 City of Charleston City Manager’s Office 501 Virginia St., East Room 101 Charleston, WV 25311 The Contractor and any Subcontractors will be required to comply with all applicable Federal requirements pertaining to Affirmative Action, Equal Employment Opportunity Executive Order 11246, Federal Labor Standards, Copeland Anti-Kickback Act, Clean Air Act, Federal Water Pollution Control Act, and DBE/WBE goals as described in the Specifications. A pre-bid conference for the purpose of discussing and clarifying the project plans and specifications will be held at 10:00 a.m. in the City Engineering Office, located at 114 Dickinson Street, on Tuesday, June 4, 2019. All bidders shall include a cashier’s or certified check or a satisfactory bid bond furnished by a solvent surety company authorized to do business in the state of West Virginia in an amount equal to five percent (5{4ceb532c6f579389df471c6c1e832caf2346b74dc60fcbf6aabd4d29df3baf9c}) of the total amount of the bid. A West Virginia Contractor’s License Number must be included on the bid submission. The successful bidder will be required to furnish both Performance and Payment Bonds, each equal to one hundred percent (100{4ceb532c6f579389df471c6c1e832caf2346b74dc60fcbf6aabd4d29df3baf9c}) of the contract amount; the fee for all bonds shall be included in the bid proposal.
