Notice of Availability Final Environmental Assessment U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Secondary Access Road Hershel “Woody” Williams Veterans Affairs Medical Center (581) Huntington, West Virginia Federal Project: 581-15-103 The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) announces the availability of a “Final Environmental Assessment” (FEA) and subsequent Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for the proposed construction associated with a Secondary Access Road located at the VA Medical Center in Huntington, WV. This project will involve the construction of a new roadway from Spring Valley Drive to Shamrock Lane at the hospital facility. The point of connection will be approximately 1.3 miles south of the existing entrance road. Both roads will be used by the facility. The FEA and FONSI were prepared in accordance with the regulations for implementing the procedural provisions of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), (Public Law 91-190, 42 USC 4321-4347 January 1, 1970), amendments, and VA’s Implementing Regulations (38 CFR Part 26).
