Invitation to Bid Marshall University, on behalf of the Board of Governors, invites sealed bids to provide all work, including but not limited to labor, material, equipment, supplies and transportation for R2200992 – Classroom Renovations Science Building, at Marshall University, Huntington, WV. The scope of work will include renovations to Classroom 266A. The remodeling work will include selective demolition, new flooring, paint, suspended ceilings, LED lights, power, data, rework of HVAC ducts, sprinkler piping, and minor metal stud and gypsum board wall construction. The room will be outfitted with existing items currently stored on campus by the Owner. Those repurposed existing items include wood laboratory benches, wall casework, epoxy tops, articulating exhaust snorkels, and ducted fume hood. A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at 10 a.m., LPT on October 14, 2021, at the Marshall University Drinko Library, Room 349, located at 410 Hal Greer Boulevard, WV. Attendance is mandatory for General Contractors. Bidders must attend the pre-bid meeting to familiarize themselves with the project location, site conditions, and other relevant information. Should any Bidder fail to attend their Bid will be disqualified. All technical questions must be submitted in writing to Angela White Negley via email at [email protected] by 9:00 a.m., LPT on October 19, 2021. Sealed bids shall be accepted until 3:00 p.m., LPT, on October 28, 2021. The bid opening will be broadcast via a Teams meeting at the following link: https://tinyurl.com/ScienceClassroomReno. At that time bids will be opened, read aloud, and recorded in the Office of Purchasing, Room 125, Old Main Building, Marshall University Campus. A $150.00 deposit is required for each set. Marshall University reserves the right to reject any/all bids.
