ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Mason County Prosecuting Attorney Office Renovations For the Mason County Commission Point Pleasant, WV NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT The Mason County Commission will accept sealed bids for the Renovations/Interior Build-out for Mason County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office to be located on the second floor of the building located at 525 Main Street, Point Pleasant, WV. Sealed bids will be received by the Mason County Commission, 200 6th Street, Point Pleasant, WV 25550 until 2:00 P.M., on Thursday, November 4th, 2021. Bids received after that time will be returned to the bidder unopened. All sealed bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the Mason County Commission immediately following the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids. Interested parties are invited to attend. The Work includes interior upfit to the second floor of 525 Main Street, Point Pleasant, WV. The 4,200 sf project includes demolition of existing office space and construction of newly created spaces to serve the prosecuting attorney’s offices. The sheriff’s department is currently located on the lower floor and will remain in place and fully operational during construction. Scope includes, but is not limited to, selective demolition, new metal stud walls and painted drywall finishes, acoustical ceilings and floor finishes, mechanical (HVAC and plumbing) and electrical work as documented in the drawings and specifications prepared by E.T. Boggess Architect, Inc. All bids must be enclosed in sealed envelope bearing the name “Mason County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.” Faxed bids will not be accepted. Bids may be mailed or delivered to John Gerlach, Mason County Commission, 200 6th Street, Point Pleasant, WV 25550, if received prior to bid date. A mandatory, pre-bid meeting will be held at the site on the second floor of the former hardware store, located at 525 Main Street, Point Pleasant, WV on Thursday, October 21st, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. All general contractors bidding the project are required to attend the meeting to familiarize themselves with the project location, site conditions and other relevant information. Bidders on this work may not discriminate in employment with regards to race, creed, color, sex, or national origin. Bidders must comply with the requirements of all applicable state and federal laws. Bidders must also comply with West Virginia Code 21-1D-5 requiring a Drug Free Workplace. Each bidder will be required to furnish a certified check or bank draft payable to the Mason County Commission or a Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and a grantee Bidder and a Bidder surety company approved by the Mason County Commission in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total projected cost of the work, materials and labor, plus proposed fee, which shall be submitted with each Bid to guarantee the Bidder’s entrance into a Contract, if given the award. No Bid shall be waived or returned because the Bidder failed to or cannot comply with any requirements as set forth in the Plans, Specifications, or any applicable statutes of the United States, the State of West Virginia and/or local ordinances. The cost for printed bid documents is $150.00 and is nonrefundable. The cost for a CD or link to electronic documents is $50.00 and is also nonrefundable. The Mason County Commission reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities therein. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the time of opening of the bids. All bidders will be required to certify, indicate and acknowledge that he/she has all appropriate licenses and meets all qualifications required by the laws, regulations, and ordinances of the State of West Virginia and the Mason County Commission.
