TAZEWELL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Board of Supervisors of Tazewell County, Virginia will hold a public hearing on April 7, 2015, at 7:30 PM at 108 East Main Street Tazewell, Virginia, in the Tazewell County Administration Building, or as soon thereafter as may be practical, to hear comments regarding the Board’s intent to allow a partial exemption from real estate taxation for the proposed rehabilitated property known as Crescentview (to be henceforth known as Harman Heights) apartment complex, located in Bluefield, Tazewell County, Virginia, from full assessment of taxes. Millennium Housing (MHM) has planned extensive renovations of the property and to rehabilitate, renovate or replace property at this location and is seeking assistance with obtaining partial tax exemption. This Ordinance is authorized by Section 58.1-3221of the Code of Virginia, as amended. The exemption would only be for the amount of tax increase resulting from the improvements made to the property as a result of the rehabilitation, renovations and/or replacements and would only be for a specified period of three (3) years of tax assessment. A copy of the complete ordinance as hereby proposed for amendment is on file in the office of the County Administrator at the above address and is posted beside the Circuit Court Clerk’s Office on the second floor of the Tazewell County Courthouse on Main Street in Tazewell, Virginia. Any persons wishing to comment on the proposed amendment to the ordinance may appear and be heard on the subject.
