NOTICE OF PUBLIC COMMENT & HEARING FOR THE
AMENDMENT OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT
FY 2014 PROGRAM YEAR ACTION PLAN
The City of Morgantown will hold a Public Comment period from January 5, 2015 through February 5, 2015. A Public Hearing will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, at the City Hall, located at 389 Spruce Street, Morgantown, WV. This hearing is intended to provide an opportunity for interested parties to comment on an amendment to the funding of the FY 2014 Action Plan.
The City as an Entitlement community has recaptured $49,225.72 in unused funding from previous years projects. The City proposes to expend $27,500.00 of this recaptured funding to improve disability access at the Morgantown Municipal Airport bringing the north end of the terminal building into compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
The source of funding for this project is the entitlement funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) that was unexpended in prior annual Action Plans. This funding will be added to the 2014 annual Action Plan of $367,683.00.
February 5, 2015 a Public Hearing will be held in Council Chambers, if people with special needs, including non-English speaking needs, plan to attend, please contact the City Manager’s Office at (304) 284-7405 to determine appropriate accommodations.
