ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Pikeview Auxiliary Buildings The Pikeview Foundation will accept sealed bids for the construction of auxiliary buildings at the Pikeview High School campus. The project to be bid is described as new separate buildings to be construction on the High School’s campus located at 3566 Eads Mill Road, Princeton, WV 24740. Building ‘A’ shall be a pre-engineered metal building structure to be utilized as a baseball / softball batting facility. Work included but not limited to; minor site grading, utility connections, foundations, erection of owner provided metal building components and miscellaneous interior and exterior architectural features such as doors, lighting, heating and ventilation. Building ‘B’ shall be a pre-engineered metal building structure to be utilized as a multi-purpose field house facility. Work included but not limited to; minor site grading, utility connections, foundations, erection of owner provided metal building components, interior block partitions, restroom and shower facilities, and miscellaneous interior and exterior architectural features such as doors, electrical, and mechanical system. Sealed bids will be received by the Pikeview Foundation, 3566 Eads Mill Road, Princeton, WV until 10 a.m. on Thursday, October 8, 2015. Bids received after that time will be returned to the bidder unopened. All bids must be enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the name “Sealed Bids: Pikeview Auxiliary Buildings”. Faxed bids will not be accepted. Bids may be mailed or delivered to the Pikeview Foundation at 3566 Eads Mill Road, Princeton, WV 24740, if received prior to bid date. All bids must be submitted in accordance with the Bid Documents issued by the Architect and the Form of Proposal. All sealed bids will be publicly opened at the office of the Pikeview High School following the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids. A satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder or an acceptable surety in an amount equal to 5{4ceb532c6f579389df471c6c1e832caf2346b74dc60fcbf6aabd4d29df3baf9c} of the Bid shall be submitted with the Bid. The successful bidders will be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory 100{4ceb532c6f579389df471c6c1e832caf2346b74dc60fcbf6aabd4d29df3baf9c} Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bond in the amount of the contract prices. The successful bidder shall execute and deliver the corporate surety bond to the Owner within ten (10) days after the award and before signing the contract. No Bid shall be waived or returned because the bidder failed to or cannot comply with any requirements as set forth in the Plans, Specifications, or any applicable statutes of the United States, the State of West Virginia and/or local ordinances. Bid documents (plans and specifications) are on file for inspection at the following offices during normal working hours: E.T. The cost for each set of documents is $100.00. If delivery is required, add $15.00 for each set requested (non-refundable). Deposits will be returned to Bidders (GC’s only) who submit a bonafide bid and return the bidding documents, in good condition without any marks, within ten (10) days following the Bid Opening. Only complete sets will be issued. Bid documents will also be available on CD for $35.00. A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at the project site at 10 a.m. on Friday, October 2, 2015. All contractors bidding the project are required to attend the pre-bid meeting to familiarize themselves with the project location, existing conditions and other relevant information. The final day for questions or substitution requests will be by the close of business on Monday, October 5, 2015 with the final addenda to be issued by close of business on Tuesday, October 6, 2015. The Pikeview Foundation reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities therein. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the time of opening of the bids. All bidders will be required to certify, indicate and acknowledge that he/she has all appropriate licenses and meets all qualifications required by the statutes of the State of West Virginia.
