ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS The Mercer County Board Of Education invites qualified contractors to submit sealed bids for all Work including but not limited to labor, materials, equipment, supplies and transportation for HVAC Improvements to Glenwood School. Bids must be submitted in accordance with bid specifications. Sealed bids will be received at the offices of the Mercer County Board of Education, 1403 Honaker Avenue, Princeton, West Virginia 24740 until 2:00 p.m., local time, on February 12, 2015 at which time and place the bids will be publicly opened and read. A pre-bid conference will be held at 10:00 a.m. on January 30, 2015 at the Glenwood School, 1734 Glenwood Park Road, Princeton, West Virginia 25570. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is mandatory for prime bidders only. Bidding Documents can be obtained by one of the following methods: 1. Prime Contract Bidders only may contact ZMM, Inc. Architects and Engineers at (304) 342-0159 and request information to access the firm’s online F.T.P. site for the HVAC Improvements to Glenwood School project. Upon approval, Contractors can download Bidding Documents in the form of PDF files at no charge. 2. Hard Copies may be obtained from Charleston Blueprint (304-343-1063) by General Contractors, Subcontractors, material suppliers and dealers by paying the actual cost of printing, binding and mailing; however such cost is not refundable. 3. Bidding documents are on file at the Engineers office, the Kanawha Valley Builders Association, Contractors Association of WV, Parkersburg/Marietta Contractors Association, Construction Employers Association of North Central WV and the Mercer County Board of Education where interested parties may review them during regular business hours. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond, made payable to the Owner, in the amount of five percent (5{4ceb532c6f579389df471c6c1e832caf2346b74dc60fcbf6aabd4d29df3baf9c}) of the base bid, in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, the right to waive minor informalities and procedures in bidding, and the right to withhold final award of contract for 60 days after opening bids. The bidder to whom the contract is awarded shall execute and deliver to the Owner within 10 days after the award, and before signing the contract, a corporate surety bond in a penal sum equal to at least the contract sum and the cost of such bond shall be paid by the bidder. Bids must be submitted in accordance with bid Specifications. The successful Bidder will be required to execute a contract, comply with all rules and regulations of the WV Workers’ Compensation Laws and provide evidence of insurance coverage to the minimum limits required by the contract documents.
