NOTICE OF REQUEST FOR BIDS Concord University (hereinafter called “OWNER”) on behalf of the Concord University Board of Governors invites qualified carillon service providers to submit sealed bids for the repair/renovation/fabrication of the Marsh forty eight (48) Bell Carillon. Sealed bids will be received at the offices of the OWNER, Room A227 in Marsh Hall (Administration Building), located at Athens, West Virginia 24712 until 2:00 p.m., local time, on Thursday, April 21, 2016, and then and there the bids will be publicly opened and read. Evaluation of all submitted bids will take place the week of April 25-29, 2016. The work of this project consists of the following Lump Sum contract. The project includes, but is not limited to providing all work, labor, materials, equipment, supplies, supervision and transportation per plans and specifications provided by Concord University for the repair/renovation of the 48 Bell Marsh Carillon. The work will consist of needed equipment and repairs as outlined in an evaluation plan and specification to be supplied by Concord University upon request to all interested bidders. Start and completion dates should be provided in the contractor’s quote. Plans and specifications are available for inspection during regular working hours at the office of the OWNER (telephone 304-384-5190); Dr. Charles Becker. Plans may be requested via email to: [email protected] All work will be performed per the outlined plans and specifications. All work shall meet applicable building code(s). Bid approval shall be subject to the conditions outlined in the West Virginia Construction Purchase Order Terms and Conditions document. Bids shall be submitted on the required Bid Form. All blank spaces on the bid form must be filled in (legible form), and the Bid Form must be fully completed when submitted; in addition a current Worker’s Compensation Certificate and Proof of Insurance will also be required. The parties to whom Contracts are awarded will be required to execute the agreement. The OWNER reserves the right to waive any informalities or minor defects, to reject any and all Bids. Any bid may be withdrawn prior to the above scheduled time for the opening of Bids or authorized postponement thereof. Should there be reasons why the Contract cannot be awarded within the specified period; the time may be extended by mutual agreement between the OWNER and the Bidder.
