Public Hearing Notice
The Common Council for the Town of Star City will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, September 13, 2016, at 6:30 PM in the Council Chambers at City Hall. This hearing is in regard to the proposed changes to Article 749 – Hotel Tax of the codified ordinances of the Town of Star City. The purpose of said changes is to eliminate the exemption from the imposition of the hotel occupancy tax on consumers occupying a hotel room for thirty or more consecutive days. The 2nd reading and proposed final vote on adoption of the aforementioned ordinance will be at the regularly scheduled council meeting on Tuesday, September 13, 2016, at 7:00 PM in the Council Chambers at City Hall. All interested parties are encouraged to attend and be heard. The proposed ordinance in its entirety can be viewed in the business office of City Hall at 370 Broadway Avenue, Star City.
