(Joseph Short) RESPONDENT CIVIL ACTION NO: 15-C-43-DS NOTICE OF FILING OF PETITION FOR FORFEITURE The object of this suit is to seek an order forfeiting the herein described property pursuant to the West Virginia Contraband Forfeiture Act, Chapter 60, Article 7, Section 701 through 707, et. seq., as amended. To: Any claimant of a right or interest in said property You have the right to file a claim to the herein described property on or before the 11th day of May, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. Any such claim must clearly state the identity of the claimant and an address where legal process can be served upon said claimant. The property seized and subject of this suit is described as follows THREE THOUSAND, ONE HUNDRED TWENTY DOLLARS AND NO CENTS IN US CURRENCY The law enforcement agency responsible for the seizure is the Mercer County Sheriff’s Department. The seizure was made on November 7, 2014 during a traffic stop located at Rt. 71, Lorton Lick Road neat Rock, West Virginia Post Office. That the above listed respondent property was in the possession of Joseph Short. That after the date for filing of said claims, an order of the Court directing forfeiture of the seized property to the State and vesting ownership of said property shall be sought. If you fail to file a claim, thereafter an order, upon proper herein, may be entered against you for the relief demanded in the petition. A copy of said petition can be obtained from the undersigned Clerk at her office. Entered by the Clerk of said Court on the 4 day of February, 2015.
