ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS WIRING IMPROVEMENTS
FOR
UNITED WAY OF MONONGALIA AND PRESTON COUNTIES, INC.
Sealed bids will be received by United Way of Monongalia and Preston Counties, Inc. for wiring improvements at 278 Spruce Street, Morgantown, Monongalia County, West Virginia until 2:00 p.m. prevailing time on May 2, 2017 at the offices of United Way of Monongalia and Preston Counties, Inc., 278 C Spruce Street, Morgantown, West Virginia 26505, at which time bids will be opened by the Building Committee of United Way of Monongalia and Preston Counties, Inc.
The scope of the project is as set forth below:
● Install 1200 amp service with disconnect fixtures
● Replace outdated electrical panels
● Cover voids of missing breaker positions
● Replace missing cover plates on exterior of the building
● Replace existing wiring as needed to comply with applicable codes
● Contractor takes sole responsibility for all logistics and completion of project
Project time limit is completion thirty (30) calendar days from Bidder’s receipt of a Notice to Proceed from United Way of Monongalia and Preston Counties, Inc. Final payment by United Way of Monongalia and Preston Counties, Inc. to Bidder will be made upon receipt of a full release of liens from Bidder, and all subcontractors and materialmen, satisfactory evidence of proof of payment of Business & Occupation Tax due and owing to the City of Morgantown, and all applicable manufacturer’s warranties.
A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on April 25, 2017, at 12:00 p.m., at United Way of Monongalia and Preston Counties, Inc., 278 C Spruce Street, Morgantown, West Virginia 26505. Bidders are required to attend the meeting.
Each Bid must be submitted in a sealed envelope, which shall contain EEO Certification of Compliance, WV Electrical License, and Bid Proposal including Bid Proposal Sheet provided by UWMPC. The envelope must have the following information in the lower left hand corner:
● Name and address of Bidder
● Bidder’s West Virginia Electrical License Number
● "Bid on Wiring Improvements", United Way of Monongalia and Preston Counties, Inc., 278 C Spruce Street, Morgantown, West Virginia 26505.
● To Be Opened at 2:00 p.m. on May 2, 2017 by the Building Committee of United Way of Monongalia and Preston Counties, Inc.
Bids shall be due by 2:00 p.m. on May 2, 2017. A bidder may not withdraw his/her/its Bid for a period of ninety (90) days after the date set for the opening of bids.
Bids received after the scheduled closing time for the reception of bids will be returned unopened to the Bidders.
United Way of Monongalia and Preston Counties, Inc. reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities.
