NOTICE
Notice is given that E. I. du Pont de Nemours and Company has applied to the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection, Division of Air Quality for a Class II Administrative Update for a chemical production unit located at 8480 DuPont Road in Washington in Wood County, West Virginia. The latitude and longitude coordinates are: 39.265139, -81.667493.
The applicant estimates the increased potential to discharge the following Regulated Air Pollutants will be: 7.59 TPY of particulate less than 10 microns (PM10), 0.23 TPY of volatile organic compounds, 0.13 TPY of formaldehyde, and 0.23 TPY of total Hazardous Air Pollutants. The use of a temporary cooling tower and temporary generators during the project will cause emissions of: 0.68 tons PM10, 0.06 tons of volatile organic compounds, 0.01 tons of formaldehyde, 0.01 tons of total Hazardous Air Pollutants, 0.34 tons of nitrogen oxides, 0.21 tons of SO2, and 0.58 tons of carbon monoxide.
Startup of operation is planned to begin on or about the 24th day of September, 2018. Written comments will be received by the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection, Division of Air Quality, 601 57th Street, SE, Charleston, WV 25304, for at least 30 calendar days from the date of publication of this notice.
