NOTICE

REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS TAZEWELL COUNTY, VIRINIGIA The Tazewell County, Virginia, Board of Supervisors, hereafter referred to as ”The Board”, hereby issues to qualified firms and individuals, a Request for Proposals (hereinafter referred to as “RFP”). The Board proposes to award a contract for consulting services to assist the Board in the administration of the County Health Insurance Program. Services are anticipated to include, but are not limited to: the procurement of a health care network and assistance in negotiations to secure the network provider, general consulting, data analysis, evaluation of claim issues, arranging and conducting insurance community meetings, communication strategy, developing a technology platform, review policies and contacts, analyzing financial fund arrangements plan design options, PBM evaluation, review of Cobra questions and exceptions, and ensuring compliance with the Health Care Reform Act. Proposals will be evaluated based on the following information: 1. Experience and qualifications of firms or individuals. 2. Offerer’s past work experience with the Board. 3. Relevant experience in providing similar services. 4. Location of offerer’s staff and/or offices in relation to Tazewell County. 5. Estimated fees for services. Proposals, marked “Sealed Bid – Do Not Open”, are due before 11:00 a.m., on Monday, March 9, 2015, and shall be addressed to Patricia Green, Deputy County Administrator, Tazewell County Board of Supervisors, 108 E. Main St., Tazewell, VA 24651. Applicants will be ranked and negotiations will begin with the top-ranked applicant in accordance with applicable Virginia Procurement requirements. If a contract satisfactory and advantageous to the Board can be negotiated at a price considered fair and reasonable, the award will be made to that applicant. Otherwise, negotiations with the applicant ranked first will be formally terminated and negotiations will be conducted with the applicant ranked second, and so on, until a satisfactory contract is reached. The Board reserves the right to reject any and/or all proposals.
