NOTICE OF THE CONSIDERATION OF THE ADOPTION OF AN INCREASE OF THE COUNTY PORTION OF THE EXCISE TAX
The public and news media are hereby notified that on Thursday July 27, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. the Wood County Commission will consider the adoption of increasing the County portion of the Excise Tax on the privilege of transferring real property, by 0.55 cents (fifty five cents) per $500.00 (five hundred dollars). As allowed per Senate Bill 433. The increase, if so adopted, shall take effect the 01st, day of August 2017.
A copy of Senate Bill 433 is available to any member of the public and/or news media at the Wood County Clerk’s Office, Room 201, No. 1 Court Square, Parkersburg, WV 26101.
