Notice is hereby given that U.S. Silica Company, 24275 Katy Freeway, Suite 600, Katy Texas 77494 has submitted an application for the RENEWAL of Quarry Article 4 Permit Number Q104091 to the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), 47 School Street, Suite 301, Philippi, WV, 26416-1600 in order to remove quartzite and limestone by conducting quarrying operations.
The operation is discharging into Warm Springs Run and the Potomac River of the Potomac River major sub-basin and is located three (3) miles, North of Berkeley Springs in Allen District of Morgan County, Longitude 78º 13’ 15” and Latitude 39º 38’ 28” (Coordinates from USGS Topographic Map).
Written comments on the Article 4 Quarry Permit Renewal application shall identify the applicant and application number and will be received by the Permit Supervisor at the DEP address above until August 23, 2025, or thirty (30) days from the date of publication.
