NOTICE OF HEARING

Public hearing for the following Ordinance will be held during the special meeting of Common Council on Tuesday, February 24, 2015, in Council Chambers of Beckley City Hall. All interested parties are urged to attend. The Agreement can be reviewed at City Hall, 409 South Kanawha Street, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AN INTERGOVERN- MENTAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE RALEIGH COUNTY COMMISSION, THE CITY OF BECKLEY, AND THE RALEIGH COUNTY SOLID WASTE AUTHORITY WHEREAS, the City of Beckley desires to renew an Intergovernmental Agreement with the Raleigh County Solid Waste Authority and the Raleigh County Commission regarding the disposal of demolition waste from the demolition of abandoned buildings; and WHEREAS, the attached Intergovernmental Agreement between the Raleigh County Commission, the City of Beckley, and the Raleigh County Solid Waste Authority requires approval by the City of Beckley Common Council authorizing the Mayor to execute the said Agreement on behalf of the City of Beckley. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BECKLEY, WEST VIRGINIA: That the attached Intergovernmental Agreement between the Raleigh County Commission, the City of Beckley, and the Raleigh County Solid Waste Authority is approved, and the Mayor of the City of Beckley is authorized to execute the Intergovernmental Agreement on behalf of the City of Beckley.
