NOTICE OF INTERIM WATER RATE INCREASE

PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION OF WEST VIRGINIA CHARLESTON CASE NO. 15-0047-PWD-19A GAULEY RIVER PUBLIC SERVICE DISTRICT, a public utility, Swiss, Nicholas County, Rule 19-A application to increase water rates and charges. NOTICE OF INTERIM WATER RATE INCREASE On January 20, 2015, Gauley River Public Service District (Gauley River) requested revised rates for providing potable water in portions of Fayette, Nicholas and Clay Counties under Rule 19-A of the Commission Rules for the Construction and Filing of Tariffs, 150 C.S.R. Series 2. It also filed a budget statement for fiscal year 2014 showing a net loss. Commission Staff has reviewed the application and recommended increased rates and charges designed to produce between $80,853 and $103,636 in additional annual revenue, an increase between 6.81 and 9.09 percent from rates currently approved by the Commission. Staff also recommended revised leak adjustment rates. The interim rate is equal to rate increase Gauley River recently published in detail in a separate notice in this proceeding. This interim rate increase is applicable to all Gauley River customers. The interim rates are subject to refund if not justified by further review in this matter. Customers may review the specific interim rate changes at the Gauley River offices.
