NOTICE OF PROPOSED CONVEYANCE

NOTICE OF PROPOSED CONVEYANCE OF UNITED METHODIST CHURCH PROPERTY (REBECCA CHAPEL UNITED METHODIST CHURCH PROPERTY) Notice is hereby given that the Board of Trustees of the West Virginia Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church will, on or after December 31, 2015 upon the payment of the sum of One Thousand One Hundred Thirteen Dollars ($1,113.00) in cash, QUITCLAIM, SELL, and CONVEY to TRUSTEES OF REBECCA CHAPEL CHURCH OF ROCK CREEK, WEST VIRGINIA, all of their right, title and interest, in and to the following tracts or parcels of land situate in Marsh Fork District, County of Raleigh and State of West Virginia, and more particularly described as follows: Tract One: The surface of Lot No. 32 of the Clay Farm Subdivision No.2, Marsh Fork Tax District, Raleigh County, West Virginia, and which Subdivision is shown on a corrected map of record in the Office of the Clerk of the County Commission of Raleigh County, West Virginia, in Map Book 10, page 62. And being the same property conveyed from Macie L. Clay, widow, to Dewey O’Dell, Bill Blankenship, Chris Linville and Arley Clay, Trustees for the Rebecca Chapel Methodist Church of Rock Creek by Deed dated the 17th day of January, 1980 and of record in the Office of the Clerk of the County Commission of Raleigh County, West Virginia in Deed Book 623, at page 582, reference to which is hereby made. Tract Two: The following described tract of land, situate, lying and being in Marsh Fork District of Raleigh County, West Virginia, and being a part of the Clay Farm Subdivision Number Two, and described as follows: Lot Number 25 (twenty five), 26 (twenty six), 27 (twenty seven), 28 (twenty eight), 29 (twenty nine), 30 (thirty), 31 (thirty one), as shown on a map in the Raleigh County Clerk’s Office in Beckley, West Virginia, listed as Clay Farm Subdivision Number Two, located on Marsh Fork District, Raleigh County, Rock Creek, West Virginia. And being the same property conveyed from W. L. Clay and Macie L. Clay, to Dewey L, J. L. Bradford, Bill Blankenship, Chris Linville, Marvin Dickens, and Charles Jarrell, Trustees for the Rebecca Chapel Methodist Church of Rock Creek, West Virginia, by Deed dated the 3rd day of June, 1971 and of record in the aforesaid Clerk’s Office in Deed Book 499, at page 167, reference to which is hereby made. Tract Three: The surface only of the following described tract or boundary of land, situate, lying and being in Marsh Fork District of Raleigh County, West Virginia, and being a part of the “Clay Farm Subdivision Number Two”, bounded and described as follows: Beginning at an iron stake in the center of Rock Creek in the North right-of-way line of State Route No. 3, and a corner between land owned by Rome Rader and land owned by W. L. Clay; thence leaving said Rock Creek with said right-of-way line in a Western direction, a long chord of which bears N. 46 f 08′ W. 47.6 feet to an iron stake at the East side of a road; thence with the East side of said road N. 34 f 48′ E. 154.6 feet to an iron stake at the corner of Lot Nos. 3 and 4 of “Rock Creek Subdivision No. 1”; thence with the division line of said lots S. 55 f 12′ E. 119.3 feet to a point in Rock Creek in a line of said Rome Rader; thence down Rock Creek with a line of said Rome Rader S. 59 f 04′ W. 177.0 feet to the place of beginning; and containing .295 acre; and being Lots Nos. 1, 2 and 3 of said “Clay Farm Subdivision Number Two”. And being the same property conveyed from W. L. Clay and Macie L. Clay, his wife, to Okey R. Cantley, J. Lewis Bradford, Charles E. Jarrell, Hubert Cantley, Dewey O’Dell, J. W. Acord and Mrs. J. L. Clay, Trustees for the Rebecca Chapel Methodist Church of Rock Creek, West Virginia, by Deed dated the 15th day of March, 1948 and of record in the aforesaid Clerk’s Office in Deed Book 276, at page 339, reference to which is hereby made. Said Church having been declared discontinued and/or abandoned by the regular 2015 session of the West Virginia Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church. Dated the 23rd day of December, 2015.
