NOTICE
PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED
ORDINANCE
TO: CITIZENS OF THE CITY OF FAIRMONT:
The Council of the City of Fairmont at its regular meeting held October 27, 2015 introduced and publicly read in its entirety for the first time the following City Ordinances:
•An Ordinance Approving And Creating A New Tax Increment Financing District In The City Of Fairmont, West Virginia To Be Known As “The City Of Fairmont Redevelopment District No. 1”; Approving Redevelopment Project Plan No. 1 As Approved By The West Virginia Development Office; Establishing A Tax Increment Financing Fund; Creating A Staff Advisory Committee For Such District; And Providing For Other Matters In Connection Therewith.
•An Ordinance Amending And Supplementing The Provisions Of Part One-Administrative Code, Chapter Seven-Boards, Commissions And Authorities, Article 171 Parking Authority, Section .08 Rates, Thereof, To Provide A Monthly Rate For Vehicular Parking On The Upper Level Of The Parking Facility Adjacent To Veterans’ Plaza; To Eliminate Rates For The Ogden Avenue Lot; And To Repeal The Provisions Of Ordinance No. 1185 To The Extent That The Provisions Of Said Ordinance Are Inconsistent With This Ordinance; Savings Clause.
Copies of the proposed Ordinances are available in the office of the City Clerk, Room 312, 200 Jackson Street, Fairmont, West Virginia.
The Public Hearing on the proposed items will be held at 7:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 in Council Chambers, at the Public Safety Building, 500 Quincy Street, Fairmont, West Virginia.
Any interested person may appear at the public hearing and be heard as to whether or not said proposed Ordinance3 shall be enacted. All objections and suggestions shall be heard and Council shall take such action as it deems necessary in the premises.
