NOTICE OF RULEMAKING AND COMMENT PERIOD

 

By Order issued on May 9, 2018, the Public Service Commission of West Virginia issued rule amendments to its Rules for the Construction and Filing of Tariffs, 150 C.S.R. 2 (Tariff Rules), and the Rules of Practice and Procedure, 150 C.S.R. 1 (Procedural Rules). The purpose of the revisions is to make the rules conform to Senate Bill 234 statutory changes that went into effect in 2015, House Bill 3096 statutory changes that went into effect in 2017, Senate Bill 10 statutory changes that went into effect this year, and to make other updates and improvements. The Commission Order established deadlines to receive written comments.

Anyone interested may obtain a copy of the Commission Order and the proposed amendments to the Tariff Rules and the Procedural Rules on the Commissionás website (www.psc.state.wv.us) or by request to Ingrid Ferrell, Executive Secretary, Public Service Commission of West Virginia, P.O. Box 812, Charleston, WV 25323. Please reference General Order Nos. 183.09 and 182.13.

Written comments on the amended Tariff Rules and/or Procedural Rules may be filed with the Commission Executive Secretary, according to this schedule:

 

Deadline for written initial comment, 4:00 p.m., June 11, 2018

 

Deadline for written reply comments, 4:00 p.m., July 10, 2018.

 

Persons requesting that the Commission hold a comment hearing on the proposed rules should include a request and reasons for hearing in their written comments.
