NOTICE TO BIDDERS The Common Council of the City of Beckley is accepting bids for truck-mounted calcium chloride sprayers for the use of pre-treating streets to lessen the effect of snowfall, by melting snow and ice. Bids are to include the cost of delivery and training of employees on the use of the equipment. The following equipment is to be included in the bid: One complete steel tank reservoir and attached 4-tip spray attachment suitable for use in a crew cab one-ton pickup Four All Season spray units with 4-tip spray configuration and power source suitable for use in a Ford 550 dump bed Two new or used (in good condition) 5000 gallon poly storage tanks for bulk storage of the Calcium Chloride Brine product All spray units to be controlled by the operator by wireless remote control Bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes clearly marked to indicate contents by Monday, August 10, 2015 at 4:30 p.m. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud in a meeting of Common Council on Tuesday, August 11, 2015. Bids may be hand delivered to 409 South Kanawha Street, or mailed to PO Box 2514, Beckley, West Virginia 25802- 2514.
