NOTICE TO CUSTOMERS – VEGETATION MANAGEMENT

NOTICE TO CUSTOMERS

To maintain necessary clearances for safe and reliable electric service, Appalachian Power Company plans to manage vegetation along the Midkiff-Ranger portion of its 34 kV distribution system in Lincoln, Cabell, and Wayne Counties, WV.  On or about January 14th, 2022, a helicopter will begin trimming trees away from power lines.  A ground crew will follow up to remove tree trimmings from streams, roads and maintained areas.  In unmaintained or undeveloped areas, trimmings will remain on site to minimize soil disturbance and to promote biodegradation.

Rights-of-way in this area expected to be involved in the program are: Rt. 37, Cripple Creek Rd., Raccoon Creek Rd., Beech Fork Rd., Harless Fork Rd., Mug Hollow Rd., and 4 Mile Creek Rd.

Company representatives will be present at the time of the aerial saw work.  Specifics regarding your property may be discussed at that time.  If you are a nonresident property owner and have questions regarding our right-of-way maintenance, they may be directed to:
