NOTICE TO CUSTOMERS – Vegetation Management

NOTICE TO CUSTOMERS

To maintain necessary clearances for safe and reliable electric service, Appalachian Power Company plans to manage vegetation along the Bancroft-Winfield portion of its 12 kilovolt distribution system in Putnam County, WV.  On or about May 27, 2022 contract crews will begin to trim and remove trees and brush and apply herbicides along our rights-of-way.  Work will be done in accordance with International Society of Arboriculture guidelines and take into account factors such as tree species, growth characteristics, line voltage, etc.  In unmaintained or undeveloped areas, cuttings will remain on site so as to minimize soil disturbance and to promote biodegradation.

 

Rights-of-way in this area involved in the program are:  Winfield Rd., Scary Creek Industrial Park, Bills Creek Rd., Junebug Lane, Sylvester Dr., Pinson Dr., Arrowhead Dr., Springlea Dr., Sorrento Place, Blue Lick Rd., Station Springs Rd., Stewart Lane, Beech Hill Dr., Christy Lane, Stewart Orchard, Orchard Lane, Riverine Dr., Rolling Acres, Stewart Acres, Raymond City, Elsinore Lane, Hapiday Trailer Park, Riverside Glen, Riverside Park, Shelly Lane, Gilpen Lane, Shawnee Estates, South Pines, Cannery Lane, 5th Avenue, Rollin St., Moore Lane, Larabee Lane, Hawthorne St., Long St., Westland Estates, Riverdale Estates, Country View Estates, Elm St., Riverview Dr., Wildwood Lane, Berry Hills, Sabre Rd., Jamie Lane, Woodbend Cove
