MONONGAHELA NATIONAL FOREST
The Fernow 2021 SBA Sale is located within Tucker County, in the Headwaters of Elklick Run on the Fernow Experimental Forest. The Forest Service will receive sealed bids by mail or courier service only, and results will be publicly posted on the Monongahela National Forest Timber website as soon as practical after bid opening. Mail bids to Forest Supervisor’s Office, 200 Sycamore Street, Elkins WV 26241, ATTN: Fernow 2021 SBA Sale. The Forest Service will receive Sealed bids at Forest Supervisor’s Office before the time of bid opening at 2:00 PM local time on 09/28/2021 for an estimated volume of 40 CCF of Black Cherry sawtimber, 105 CCF of Maple (RM, SM) sawtimber, 21 CCF of Hardwood – Other (Be, BI, Loc) sawtimber, 14 CCF of Oak (WO, CO) sawtimber, 199 CCF of Red & Black Oak sawtimber, and 305 CCF of Yellow Poplar (YP, Bass, Cuc) sawtimber marked or otherwise designated for cutting. This is a small business set-aside sale. If no self-certifying small business concern makes a valid bid, the Forest Service will readvertise this sale without restrictions on bidder size. The Forest Service reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Interested parties may obtain a prospectus from the office listed below. A prospectus, bid form, and complete information concerning the timber, the conditions of sale, and submission of bids is available to the public from the Forest Supervisor’s Office, Cheat Ranger District.
