NOTICE OF APPLICATION
Notice is given that The Chemours Company FC, LLC has applied to the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection, Division of Air Quality, for a Class II Administrative Update for the installation of a small-scale production operation at an existing chemical manufacturing site (Washington Works) located at 8480 Dupont Rd. near Washington, WV in Wood County. The latitude and longitude coordinates are: 39.268927 degrees latitude and -81.668001 degrees longitude.
This applicant estimates the potential increase to discharge 0.03 tons per year of VOC, which is the only Regulated Air Pollutant that will experience increased emissions due to the installation and operation of the small-scale production operation.
Startup of operation is planned to begin on or about the fourth quarter of 2021.
Written comments will be received by the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection, Division of Air Quality, 601 57th Street, SE Charleston, WV 25304, for at least 30 calendar days from the date of publication of this notice. Written comments will also be received via email at DEPAirQualityPermitting
@WV.gov.
