A Public Hearing for the Board of Zoning Appeals is scheduled for Tuesday, November 2, 2021 in Weirton Room, Council Chambers, 4:30 P.M. The purpose of this regular meeting is to review the following applications:
New Business
a) Howard Webb, 300 North 10th Street, requests a variance to permit a six (6) feet high fence in a front yard. The City of Weirton Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) Section 12.3.8 C (1) permits a fence to be a maximum height of four (4) feet in a front yard. (Tax Map W39N, Parcel 0097, R-2 Medium Residential Density).
b) John Greco, 3219 Main Street, requests a variance to permit 2 ft 10 rear setback. The City of Weirton Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) Table 2 Development requires rear setback of 15 ft in a C1 District. (Tax Map W42M, Parcel 0031, C-1 Downtown Business District).
c) John Ruiz, 119 School Street, requests a variance to permit a 13 feet Right of Way on the left side of the building. The City of Weirton Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) Table 2 Development requires right of way on townhouses to be 15 ft. (Tax Map W43A, Parcel 0058, R-1 Low Density Residential District).
d) Cora Childers, 3638 Lindberg Way, requests a variance to permit a 15 ft by 10 ft Parking Pad. The City of Weirton Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) section 13.5 requires parking pads be 10 ft by 20 feet in size (Tax Map W42R, Parcel 0252, R-2 Medium Density)
Applicants must appear in person; all interested parties may appear in person or be represented by agent or attorneys or submit comments in writing giving reasons for either granting or denying this petition.
