REQUEST FOR BIDS
SNOW REMOVAL

The Town of Hedgesville is accepting bids for
approximately 1.5 miles of snow plowing, treatment of streets for ice, and removal of snow, in the event of a major snow storm. Hand Shoveling and/or Snow Blowing is also required for
Town Buildings.

Bid must state the charge for snow plowing of city maintained streets at 3 inches. Charge for each additional plowing in the event of continued snow fall or snow drifts.

Please state charge for the ice melt product and for spreading the product if ice storm and/or freezing rain.

Bid should state charge for hauling snow from town for major snow storm including charges for backhoe and/or dump truck.

Please contact the Town Hall at (304) 754-4827 for a complete updated list of areas to be plowed. A copy can be mailed or faxed to you. Copies will also be available at the Town Hall located in
Naylor Library,
105 Potato Hill St. Hedgesville.

Bids can be mailed to the Town of Hedgesville, Attn: Snow Removal, P. O. Box 45, Hedgesville, WV 25427, faxed to 304-754-8641 or may be hand delivered to 105
Potato Hill St, Hedgesville. Direct any questions to 304-754-4827.

Deadline for accepting bids is 7:30 PM on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 and must be
received prior to the start of the Town Council
Meeting. All bids must
include a copy of the company’s state business license, a copy of company’s current liability insurance, proof of workers compensation, a copy of contractor’s license.

A Town of Hedgesville business license must be obtained prior to any work being started.
Any incomplete bid will be discarded and not
considered. The Town reserves the right to
accept or reject any bid. Invoices for snow removal must be submitted to the Town by a single monthly invoice on the 15th of the month to be paid within thirty (30) days upon
receipt of invoice.
