Notice is hereby given that the City of Parkersburg, in accordance with Article 1705.08 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Parkersburg, West Virginia, claims a lien to secure the payment of the sum of Five Thousand Eight One Dollars and 94/100 (5,081.94), plus interest from date of lien, upon your interest in and to the herein described real property lying, situate and being in the City of Parkersburg, County of Wood, State of West Virginia, being more particularly bounded and described as follows:

TRACT ONE: BEGINNING at the southeasterly corner of the fifteen-foot alley and Shady Avenue, thence with said Avenue, in a southeasterly direction with said alley, one hundred fifty (150) feet to another alley, being all of what is known as Lot No. 26 of Fairplains Addition No. 3 as is shown by the Plat of said Addition recorded in Plat Book No. 2, at page 96, in the Office of the Clerk of The County Commission of Wood County, West Virginia.

TRACT TWO: BEGINNING at a point in the northerly line of the first 15 foot alley south of Shady Avenue, which said point is the southeasterly corner of Lot No. 26 of Parkersburg Industrial Company’ Fairplains No. 3 as shown on a plat of said Addition of record in the Office of the Clerk of the County Commission of Wood County, West Virginia in Plat Book No. 2 at Page 96, thence in a southerly direction and with the easterly line of Lot No. 26, if extended, 7 1/2 feet to a point in the center line of said 15 foot alley, thence with said center line in a westerly direction 50 feet to a point in the easterly line of a dedicated and used 15 foot alley; thence in a northerly direction with the easterly line of the said dedicated and used 15 foot alley 7 1/2 feet to the southwestern corner of said Lot No. 26; thence with the southerly line of Lot No. 26 in an easterly direction 50 feet to the place of beginning.

There is expressly reserved to the City of Parkersburg a right of way and easement for construction and maintenance of present of future utilities.

BEING the same tracts conveyed to Lee F. Null and Ima J. Null, jointly and to the survivor by deed dated the 20th day of January, 1998, from Edna I. Lowe, Attorney in Fact for Brooksie A. Richares. Ima J Null deceased.

Such claim is made on the basis that the City of Parkersburg has caused to be demolished certain building(s) formerly located upon the above described real property.

The nature of the work performed upon the aforesaid buildings and upon the above described real property, pursuant to a contract for demolition awarded to JC BOSLEY CONSTRUCTION INC., under lawful bidding procedures, was the demolition by the aforesaid contractor on or around the 16th day of July, 2021. Said lien is claimed at the price and amount set forth hereinabove, plus interest from date of lien, as shown more fully in the invoice submitted by said contractor which is attached hereto as City Exhibit 1, and in the statement of various costs necessary and incidental, for such demolition which is attached hereto as City Exhibit 2, which may both be viewed by contacting the City of Parkersburg.
