HANCOCK COUNTY
EQUALIZATION AND REVIEW
OF PROPERTY VALUES
The County Commission of Hancock County, West Virginia will meet as a Board of Equalization and Review starting February 1, 2022 at the Courthouse in New Cumberland, for the purpose of reviewing and equalizing the assessment of values made by the Assessor.
The Commission scheduled the following days for the purpose of hearing complaints, objections, and corrections of assessment set by the Assessor:
Tuesday February 1, 9:00am – 11:00am, Appointment Only
Friday, February 4, 9:00am – 11:00am, Open Session
Thursday, February 10, 9:00am – 11:00am, Appointment Only
Wednesday, February 16 9:00am – 11:00am, Final Statement
Anyone wishing to schedule an appointment should please contact the Assessor’s Office at (304)564-7815. If any person fails to apply for relief at these meetings, he or she shall have waived his or her right to ask for correction to his or her assessment list for the current year and shall not hereafter be permitted to question the correctness of this list as fixed by the County Commission except on appeal to the Circuit Clerk.
