A proceeding on the Commission’s own motion to initiate a general investigation for the purpose of establishing a task force to make recommendations regarding Mountaineer Gas Company’s Gas Transportation Program Rules.

NOTICE OF
FORMATION OF TASK FORCE

On January 3, 2022, the Commission initiated a General Investigation and a process for the formation of the Mountaineer Gas Transportation Program Rules Task Force for the purpose of discussing potential changes to enhance and expand Mountaineer’s natural gas transportation program rules, including but not limited to exploring retail customer choice program development and related tariff changes, including firm customer pooling, capacity assignment, balancing tolerances, modernized local gas procedures, averaged standby charges, utility consolidated billing, and associated costs and cost responsibility.

The Legal Division Staff shall serve as chair and administrator of the
Mountaineer Gas
Transportation Program Rules Task Force. In addition to Mountaineer Gas Company, the Commission named to the Task Force UGI Corporation, Direct Energy Business Marketing, LLC, CNG
Services, LLC, and
Interstate Gas Supply Inc., the West Virginia Energy Users Group, the
Consumer Advocate
Division and Commission Staff.
The Commission seeks voluntary stakeholder
participation from The Gas and Oil Association of West Virginia.

Anyone desiring to
participate on the
Mountaineer Gas
Transportation Program Rules Task Force should file a notice of participation with the Executive Secretary of the Public Service Commission by January 20, 2022. Interested parties that do not participate on the Task Force may file comments at any time.
