INVITATION TO BID

Sealed bids for the Roaring Creek Passive Acid Mine Drainage Treatment Project near Coalton West Virginia will be received by Save the Tygart Watershed Association (STTWA) at PO Box 164, Grafton, WV 26354, until 3:00 PM Eastern Time, April 7th, 2022. The Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 105 Beech St. Grafton, WV at that time.

The work will consist of the construction of a passive acid mine drainage treatment system including settling ponds, flushing limestone leach beds, and wetlands.

West Virginia Code 21-11-2 requires that all Bidders desiring to perform contractual work in West Virginia must be duly licensed. All prospective Bidders shall be licensed prior to submitting their bid and shall include their contractor’s license number on their bid in accordance with the requirements of West Virginia Code 21-11-11.

Each Bid shall be accompanied by security in the form of a certified check or Bid Bond furnished by a solvent surety company authorized to do business in the State of West Virginia payable to the order of Save the Tygart Watershed Association in the amount of not less than five percent (5 %) of the total bid.

The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond, both in the amount of at least one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price.

Digital Bidding Documents consisting of the Drawings and the Project Manual, may be obtained from [email protected] or hard copies available upon request to Save the Tygart Watershed Association (STTWA) at PO Box 164, Grafton, WV 26354 (hard copies may incur a processing fee of no more than $50).

Digital addenda, if any, will be issued to only those whose names and addresses are on record as having obtained Bidding Documents.

A MANDATORY pre-bid conference will be held in the parking lot at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 200 Church St, Coalton, WV 26257 on March 23, 2022. Bidders shall meet at 11:00 AM and continue to the project site. Questions will be received until March 31, 2022.

Prevailing wages will not be required for this project.

STTWA reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informality in the bidding.
