NATIONAL FOREST TIMBER FOR SALE
MONONGAHELA NATIONAL FOREST

The Snorting Lick Stewardship Sale is an integrated resource timber contract located 25 miles north of Bartow, WV, in Pocahontas County, in the headwaters of Snorting Lick. The Forest Service will receive technical and price proposals (no public meeting) by mail, courier service or hand-delivery at the Forest Supervisor’s Office by 2:00 PM local time on 4/28/2022. Mail/submit proposals to: Forest Supervisor’s Office, ATTN: Snorting Lick Stewardship, 200 Sycamore Street, Elkins, WV 26241. This sale has an estimated volume of 1,954 CCF of Black Cherry sawtimber, 851 CCF Maple (RM ,SM) sawtimber, and 326 CCF of Hardwood – Other (Bi, Bass, Cuc, Mag) sawtimber marked or otherwise designated for cutting. Sale contains specified roads with an estimated public works construction cost of $105,904.92. Bidders qualifying as small business concerns under the Small Business Act may, when submitting a bid, elect for the Forest Service to build permanent roads. Also included in the contract is one (1) mandatory service project to be completed by the Contractor. The contract will be awarded based on a Best Value Determination. One award will be made to the offeror (a) whose proposal is technically acceptable and (b) whose technical/price relationship is the most advantageous to the Government. The Forest Service reserves the right to reject any and all proposals. A prospectus, solicitation form, information concerning the timber, the mandatory service project, and complete conditions of the contract are available to
