NATIONAL FOREST TIMBER FOR SALE
MONONGAHELA NATIONAL FOREST

The Back Ridge Sale is located within Pendleton County, 25 miles north of Bartow, WV in the Headwaters of Back Ridge Run. The Forest Service will receive Sealed bids by mail, courier or hand-delivery at: Forest Supervisor’s Office, 200 Sycamore Street, Elkins, WV 26241, before 2:00 PM local time on 05/26/2022. No public bid opening will be held. Bid results will be posted on the Monongahela National Forest Timber website as soon as practical after bid opening. There is an estimated volume of 138 CCF of Black Cherry sawtimber, 217 CCF of Maple (RM, SM) sawtimber, 58 CCF of Hardwood – Other (Bi, Cuc, Hem, Pitch Pine) sawtimber, 763 CCF of Oak (WO, CO) sawtimber, and 1303 CCF of Red & Black Oak sawtimber marked or otherwise designated for cutting. In addition, there is within the sale area an unestimated volume of pulpwood that the bidder may agree to remove at a fixed rate. The Forest Service reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
