REVISED FILING NOTICE

On March 4, 2022, the Applicant, Mountain Adventures LLC, filed an application for a certificate of convenience and necessity to operate a passenger transportation service in Randolph and Tucker Counties. The Applicant proposed certificate would read as follows:

To operate as a common carrier by motor vehicle in the transportation of passengers in specialized limousine service between points and places in Randolph and Tucker Counties, on the one hand, and points and places in West Virginia, on the other hand.

The Applicant’s proposed rates are:

The rate for non-specified activities is $20/hour per person.

Specified activities:

a. Within Canaan Valley -$l0 per person round trip;
b. Canaan Valley to Davis/Thomas-$20 per person round trip;
c. Canaan Valley to Dolly Sods-$40/person round trip;
d. Canaan Valley to Still Hollow Distillery-$20/person round trip;
e. Canaan Valley to Seneca Rocks-$30/person round trip;
f. Canaan Valley Seneca Caverns – $40/person round trip
g. Canaan Valley to Blackwater Outdoor Adventures in St. George – $50/person round trip
h. Davis/Thomas to Blackwater Outdoor Adventures in St. George .. $30/person
round trip
i. Canaan Valley to Spruce Knob – $40/person round trip
j. Biking shuttle. Davis to Thomas, drop off at Blackwater trail, pick up bikers and bikes in Hendricks, WV $50/person round trip
k. Skiers from Canaan Valley to Timberline or White Grass. $l0/person round trip.

On April 13, 2022, Commission Staff filed its Final Joint Staff Memorandum recommending the application be approved, if there are no protests, after proper publication.

Anyone desiring to protest or intervene should file a written protest or notice of intervention within ten days following the date of this publication unless otherwise modified by Commission order. If no protests are received, the Commission may waive formal hearing and render its decision on the application based on the evidence submitted with the application and the Commission’s review thereof. Requests to intervene must comply with the Commission’s rules on intervention set forth in the Commission’s Rules of Practice and Procedure.
