LEGAL NOTICE – BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS
IN ACCORDANCE WITH CHAPTER 8A, ARTICLE 24 OF THE CODE OF WEST VIRGINIA, AS AMENDED, AND THE PARKERSBURG ZONING ORDINANCE A-2530 AS ADOPTED ON FEBRUARY 27, 1973, THE BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS WILL HOLD A PUBLIC MEETING AT 6:30 P.M., ON SEPTEMBER 21, 2022, IN COUNCIL CHAMBERS ON THE SECOND FLOOR OF THE PARKERSBURG MUNICIPAL BUILDING, ONE GOVERNMENT SQUARE, PARKERSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA, TO CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING APPEALS:
A. Applicant/Owner: L. Marvin Boyce, owner of 32 Fairview Heights. Requesting permission to build a 3-stall garage (or two 2-stall garages) at the front of the home, approximately 9 feet (or more) off the right side property line and 9 feet from the front property line, to even it up with the home. Also, requesting permission to build a 1600 sq ft room addition onto the rear of the home, leveling it up to the house, 9 feet (or more) from the right side line and 9 feet from the left side property line. This is located in a R-1 District.
B. Applicant/Owner: D & W Properties, LLC dba ITech, located at 326 5th Street. Requesting permission to install a 3rd sign, visible above their parking lot on the side of their building to attract customers and direct them into their business. This is located in the Façade District, B-3.
C. Applicant: Evan Cochran/ Owner: Paul Cochran, 704 Summers Street. Requesting permission to add a 2000 sq. ft. room addition onto the existing home, in the rear. This is a 115% addition to the existing dwelling, located in an R-4 District. In addition, they are requesting a right-side yard variance of 2.5 feet.
