RE: 1234 LYNN ST., PARKERSBURG, WV

Notice is hereby given that the City of Parkersburg, in accordance with Article 1705.08 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Parkersburg, West Virginia, claims a lien to secure the payment of the sum of Seven Thousand Eight Hundred Fourteen Dollars and 98/100 ($7,814.98), plus interest from date of lien, upon your interest in and to the herein described real property lying, situate and being in the City of Parkersburg, County of Wood, State of West Virginia, being more particularly bounded and described as follows:

BEGINNING on the south side of Lynn Street between Tefft and 13th (formerly Wells) Streets, 100 feet from said 13th Street, and running thence towards Latrobe Street 125 feet to an alley; thence with said alley toward Tefft Street, 42-1/2 feet; thence at right angles 125 feet to Lynn Street; and thence with Lynn Street, 42-1/2 feet to the place of the beginning.

BEING the same lot conveyed to Matthew Gittings by deed dated the 1st day of August, 2019, from David B. Wamsley, and of record in the Office of the Clerk of the County Commission of Wood County, West Virginia in Deed Book No. 1296, at page 585.

Such claim is made on the basis that the City of Parkersburg has caused to be demolished certain building(s) formerly located upon the above described real property.

The nature of the work performed upon the aforesaid buildings and upon the above described real property, pursuant to a contract for demolition awarded to JIMMIE HARPER CONSTRUCTION., under lawful bidding procedures, was the demolition by the aforesaid contractor on or around the 9TH day of June 2022 Said lien is claimed at the price and amount set forth hereinabove, plus interest from date of lien, as shown more fully in the invoice submitted by said contractor which is attached hereto as City Exhibit 1, and in the statement of the various costs necessary and incidental, for such demolition which is attached hereto as City Exhibit 2, which may both be viewed by contacting the City of Parkersburg.
