Notice to public contractors, labor unions, and private individuals.
The WV Schools for the Deaf and the Blind intends to solicit assistance from the Department of Defense’s Innovative Readiness Training Program. The assistance will include infrastructure improvements which will focus on remodeling buildings to create the best possible student learning environments. Improvements in the school buildings will result in the creation of the least restrictive environment for persons who are blind, low-vision, deaf or hard of hearing. The proposed assistance will take place on the school’s campus at 301 Main St. Romney, WV beginning in the fall of 2016 and will continue until 2021, or until the projects have been completed. Contractors, labor unions, or private individuals who have questions or who wish to voice opposition to military assistance for this project may contact Dr. Martin Keller at 304-822-4800 or via email at: [email protected] no later than July 15, 2016 (30 days after the initial publication of this notice). Persons not filing comments within the time frame noted will be considered to have waived their objections to military assistance for this project.
