Notice is hereby given that Plaintiffs Hines Furlong Line, Inc. and HFL Vessels LLC, LLC have filed a Complaint pursuant to Title 46 U.S.C. § 30501-30512 and the various statutes, rules and regulations supplemental thereto, and amendments thereof, claiming the right to exoneration from, or limitation of, liability for all claims arising out of a series of events on July 1, 2022 during a voyage of the motor vessel WARREN W. HINES on the Ohio River near mile marker 195 when the occupants of two recreational vessels entered the river, Jackie L Jones is alleged to have drowned, and other occupants of the recreational vessels allege damages.
In said Complaint, Plaintiffs state the facts and circumstances upon which exoneration from, or limitation of, liability are claimed.
As provided by Rule F of the Supplemental Rules for Certain Admiralty and Maritime Claims of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, all persons having such claims must file them on or before December 15, 2022, with the Clerk of this Court in Paducah, KY and serve on or mail a copy thereof to Plaintiffs’ attorneys Robert Nienhuis and Jacob D. Curtis, Goldstein and Price, L.C., One Memorial Drive, Suite 1000, St. Louis, Missouri 63102, or be defaulted. Personal attendance is not required.
Any claimant desiring to contest the allegations of Plaintiffs must also file an Answer to said Complaint, on or before December 15, 2022, as required by Rule F (4) and F (5) of the Supplemental Rules for Certain Admiralty and Maritime Claims of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, and serve or mail a copy to Plaintiffs’ attorneys.
