Legal Notice
The Calhoun County Park will be accepting bids for a Herb Smith community building improvement project. The project is located 4 miles South of Grantsville on Route 16. The physical address is 380 Park Place, Grantsville, WV, 26147.
Bids will be accepted until 9:00 AM, Monday, March 27, 2023. Bids will be opened at the Herb Smith community building at 10:00 AM on Monday, March 27th, 2023.
The scope of work will consist of the following:
1. Provide all materials and labor to replace two (2) existing HVAC units. Heating units will be sized appropriately by contractor and be natural gas. BTU rating of gas at building is 1442.2. Air conditioning units should be largest units suitable for existing ductwork. (minimum 3 ton)
2. Alternate #1. Add two (2) additional ducts from existing trunk duct to kitchen.
3. Alternate #2. Add one (1) two ton ductless heat pump to serve kitchen.
4. Alternate #3. Add two (2) three ton ductless heat pumpto serve upstairs area of the community building. One on each end of the building.
5. Alternate #4. Install new temperature averaging digital thermostats for downstairs HVAC units.
Decisions to accept or reject primary bid and alternate bids will be made at bid opening, the Calhoun County Park reserves the right to reject any and all bids.

100% payment will be made at project completion and inspection.
BIDDING GUIDELINES
1. Bids will be opened Monday, March 27, 2023 at 10:00 AM at the Herb Smith Community Building, at the Calhoun County Park. Bids may be mailed to Calhoun County Park, PO Box 276, Grantsville, WV, 26147. Please mark envelope “sealed bid”.
2. Bid shall be provided on company letterhead and include current valid West Virginia contractors license.
3. Bid will be valid a minimum of sixty (60) days from date of bid opening.
4. Successful contractor will be required to provide certificate of insurance adequate to cover total project cost and adequate liability coverage.
5. This project does not require payment of prevailing wages.
6. Project completion period will be thirty (30) days from start date.
