Notice is hereby given that the City of Parkersburg, in accordance with Article 1705.08 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Parkersburg, West Virginia, claims a lien to secure the payment of the sum of Seven Thousand Nine Hundred Four Dollars and 63/100 ($7904.63), plus interest from date of lien, upon your interest in and to the herein described real property lying, situate and being in the City of Parkersburg, County of Wood, State of West Virginia, being more particularly bounded and described as follows:
BEGINNING on 12th St. at a common corner of Lots Nos. 26 and 27, Stewart Second Addition to the City of Parkersburg, Wood County, West Virginia, thence running toward Latrobe Street and with 12th Street 30 feet; thence parallel with the line between Lots Nos. 26 and 27 a distance of 87.8 feet to 12th Street, the place of beginning.
BEING the same lot conveyed to James W Byrd by deed dated the 11th day of April, 2012 from Wood County Community Federal Credit Union of record in the Office of the Clerk of the County Commission of Wood County, West Virgnia, in Deed Book No. 1184, at page 79
Such claim is made on the basis that the City of Parkersburg has caused to be demolished certain building(s) formerly located upon the above described real property.
The nature of the work performed upon the aforesaid buildings and upon the above described real property, pursuant to a contract for demolition awarded to Empire Builders, Inc., under lawful bidding procedures, was the demolition by the aforesaid contractor on or around the 5th day of OCTOBER 2022. Said lien is claimed at the price and amount set forth here in above, plus interest from date of lien, as shown more fully in the invoice submitted by said contractor which is attached hereto as City Exhibit 1, and in the statement of the various costs necessary and incidental, for such demolition which is attached hereto as City Exhibit 2, may contacting the City of Parkersburg.
