REQUEST FOR
ARCHITECTURAL/
ENGINEERING DESIGN SERVICES
Pursuant to West Virginia Code 5G-1-3, the Wood County Board of Education is seeking Expressions of Interest from qualified design professionals to provide Architectural/Engineering Services to assist in the Wood County Schools Paving Projects, including ADA assessments and compliance. Services include preliminary engineering/design, final design, preparation of plans and specifications, bidding assistance, services during construction, construction inspection and administration, and any other general services required to complete the project.
Qualified firms are invited to contact Jason Wyers, Purchasing Director at [email protected] to obtain a copy of the Request for Statement of Qualifications and submission requirements.
Expressions of Interest (via hard copy submission) must be received no later than 12:00 pm local prevailing time on May 9, 2023, and addressed to the attention of:

Envelope must be clearly marked as described in the Statement of Qualifications
A selection team will evaluate the statement of qualifications and will conduct discussion with at least three (3) of the professional firms submitting statements deemed to be the most highly qualified to provide the services required, rank such firms in order of preference, and submit to the Wood County Board of Education for approval.
Attention is directed to the fact that the proposed project may be undertaken through federal and/or state agencies and that all work will be performed in accordance with the regulations issued by these agencies and the State of West Virginia pertaining hereto.
The selected firm will be required to comply with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Executive Order 11246, Conflict of Interest Statement and Access to Records provisions. Alternative Federal and State funding requirements may also apply.
The Wood County Board of Education will afford full opportunity for minority and women-owned business enterprises to submit a show of interest in response to the invitation and will not discriminate against any firm or individual on the grounds of race, creed, color, sex, age, handicap status or national origin in the contract award.
