NATIONAL FOREST TIMBER FOR SALE
MONONGAHELA NATIONAL FOREST
The Hinkle Mtn Helicopter Sale is located within Compartment 63, Nicholas County, 1 mile East of Richwood, WV, in the headwaters of North Fork of Cherry River. The Forest Service will receive Sealed bids at Forest Supervisor’s Office, 200 Sycamore Street, Elkins, WV 26241 before or at the time of public bid opening at 2:00 PM local time on 08/03/2023 for an estimated volume of 15 CCF of Black Cherry sawtimber, 618 CCF of Maple (RM, SM) sawtimber, 220 CCF of Hardwood – Other (BG, Mag, Beech, Hic, BB, Hem, WP, RP) sawtimber, 1048 CCF of Red & Black Oak sawtimber, 290 CCF of White Oak (CO) sawtimber, 1605 CCF of Yellow Poplar (Cuc, Bass) sawtimber, and 82 CCF of Pulpwood marked or otherwise designated for cutting. In addition, there is within the sale area an unestimated volume of Pulpwood-Topwood that the bidder may agree to remove at a fixed rate. The Forest Service reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Interested parties may obtain a prospectus from the office listed below.
