Examinations to Applicants for Appointment to the Position of Wood County Deputy Sheriff
Notice is hereby given that the Wood County
Civil Service Commission will be conducting Entrance Tests. for Wood County Deputy Sheriff.
The scheduled test dates at this time:

The Physical Ability Test will be held at Jackson Middle School, 1601 34th Street Vienna WV at 9:00 am. The written test will be taken at the Wood County Court House, 317 Market Street Parkersburg WV at 1:00 pm.
West Virginia State Code age requirements are 18 to 45 years of age.
Physical Ability Test requirements are:
1) 1.5 mile run to be completed in less than 14 minutes 36 seconds.
2) 29 sit-ups in 1 minute or less.
3) 18 push-ups in 1 minute or less.
Applications will be accepted until 4:00 pm on August 3rd, 2023.
