NOTICE OF APPLICATION TO CHANGE RATES
MINERAL WELLS PUBLIC SERVICE DISTRICT
CASE NO. 23-0376-PWD-19A
The Mineral Wells Public Service District has filed a request with the West Virginia Public Service Commission for an increase in its rates.
The Staff of the Public Service Commission has reviewed the application and recommended the following increases. The Step 2 rates would take effect upon substantial completion of the project approved in Case No. 22-0626-PWD-CN.

Under the first rate step, the average residential customer will see an increase of $1.64 monthly or 4.23 percent. The second rate step will result in an increase of $2.72 or 6.18 percent over existing rates.
The Commission may adopt rates and charges for the District which are the same as, greater than or less than the Staff-recommended rates and charges.
Anyone desiring to protest the proposed changes must do so, in writing, within ten days of the date of publication of this notice. All protests should be addressed to the Executive Secretary, Public Service Commission of West Virginia, P.O. Box 812, Charleston, WV 25323. To help the Commission determine the justification for additional review and investigation, protests should be specific as to reasons that the changed rates and charges should be modified. In addition, anyone desiring a hearing in this matter must demand a hearing in the letter of protest. If no substantial protest is filed, the Staff-recommended rates may be approved without hearing.
