Notice is hereby given that the City of Parkersburg, in accordance with Article 1705.08 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Parkersburg, West Virginia, claims a lien to secure the payment of the sum of Nine Thousand Three Hundred Eighty-Eight Dollars and 50/100 ($9,388.50), plus interest from date of lien, upon your interest in and to the herein described real property lying, situate and being in the City of Parkersburg, County of Wood, State of West Virginia, being more particularly bounded and described as follows:
BEING all of the southern 100 feet of Lot No. 29 of Parkersburg Industrial Company’s Little Farms Addition No. 1 to the City of Parkersburg, West Virginia, a plat of said Addition being record in the Office of the Clerk of the County Commission of Wood County, West Virginia, in Plat Book No. 2, at page 79; said Lot fronting on the northernly side of Route 95 interchange, formerly Camden Avenue, and on the east side of Buckeye Street and extending northerly 100 feet to the Northern 50 x 60 foot lot previously conveyed by former owner by deed dated April 26, 1945 and recorded in the aforesaid Clerk’s Office in Deed Book No. 268, at page 50.
BEING the same property conveyed to Patricia L Chrisman by deed dated the 25th day of September, 2019, from Rauch Automotive Group, LLC, of record in the aforesaid Clerk’s Office in Deed Book No. 1307, at page 18.
Such claim is made on the basis that the City of Parkersburg has caused to be demolished certain building(s) formerly located upon the above described real property.
The nature of the work performed upon the aforesaid buildings and upon the above described real property, pursuant to a contract for demolition awarded to Empire Builders, Inc., under lawful bidding procedures, was the demolition by the aforesaid contractor on or around the 27th day of APRIL 2023. Said lien is claimed at the price and amount set forth here in above, plus interest from date of lien, as shown more fully in the invoice submitted by said contractor which is attached hereto as City Exhibit 1, and in the statement of the various costs necessary and incidental, for such demolition which is attached hereto as City Exhibit 2, which may both be viewed by contacting the City of Parkersburg.
