Wood County Society seeks formal bids for the demolition of 810 Market Street, Parkersburg, WV 26101. 810 Market Street is a three-story building located in downtown Parkersburg, West Virginia. Specifications include demolition and fill of vacant lot once demolition is complete. Additional specifications include: Bidders must be a professional, independent construction contractor and approved by the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protections. Bidders will comply with all State and Federal Laws including inspections of the critical phases of the project to verify that construction is proceeding following the project design and in compliance with applicable Federal and State Building Codes and Regulations. Bidders must comply with all State and Federal Waste Disposal Laws when conducting demolition activities. Demolition waste shall be properly disposed of at a permitted/licensed sanitary or demolition landfill and the applicable DEP and EPA disposal requirements shall be included in the demolition bid and contract. Bidders must submit proof of licensure, and proof of qualified insurance and add Wood County Society with additional insured during the critical phases of demolition. Bidders will also include any B&O taxes within their bid. Proposals will be due on or before 4:00 PM on January 8th, 2024. The Owner is tax exempt.
